6 months in. We owe you an update!
It’s been around six months since we opened our doors in Hampton, and we’ve loved every minute of it. Some days have been full-on, if we’re honest, but that’s exactly the part Mackenzie and I have leaned into, pushing each other to keep improving how we look after everyone who walks through our door. Here’s a snapshot of how things have been tracking.
Physiotherapy at Better Movement Collective
When we started Better Movement Collective, Mackenzie and I talked at length about what makes physio actually work. We landed on two things: trust, and a genuine plan to get you moving better. That’s why we run longer sessions, so we can properly understand what’s going on and send you away with a clear plan of attack, not just a quick fix.
It’s been brilliant watching that approach play out with our clients, whether that’s working through a stubborn back pain, getting a second opinion, or pushing themselves on our VALD technology. That’s the stuff that gets us out of bed in the morning, and we’re grateful to be doing it for the Hampton community.
Exercise Services
Our exercise services have truly taken off. Clinical Pilates and Clinical Strength have been a hit, and the feedback we hear most often is about how much people value proper supervision, and having a bit of fun while they’re at it. People come to us for all sorts of reasons: back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, managing osteoporosis or osteoarthritis, easing back into movement after a bit of time off, or just wanting close monitoring so they can push themselves safely.
Clinical Pilates has a reputation for being gentle. Our members quickly learn otherwise (kudos, Mackenzie). And our Clinical Strength classes have been just as rewarding to run. We’re big believers that age isn’t a ceiling on what you’re capable of, and our members prove that every single week.
What’s in the Works?
We’re also about to launch a new Post-Surgical Physiotherapy Membership, purpose-built for people recovering from surgeries like hip and knee replacements, shoulder cuff repairs, or sporting injury repairs. The goal is to take the guesswork out of recovery and set you up for success from day one, with 1:1 physiotherapy, exercise classes and VALD testing all included. More details coming in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out.
As always, we’re dedicated to building the best possible space for this community, so reach out any time with feedback or ideas. We’re committed to a clinic that’s community-first, values its people, and never stops improving. Thanks for coming along for the ride so far, there’s plenty more to come.
